WVU and Baylor both can't see to win on the road today. Don't worry, OU will run it up on KU and be the frontrunner again even though they've embarrassed us all twice already this year.
For the Big XII title they are the frontrunner. For the CFP the Big XII is screwed.WVU and Baylor both can't see to win on the road today. Don't worry, OU will run it up on KU and be the frontrunner again even though they've embarrassed us all twice already this year.
They may be the only one ranked in the top 20 next week. For the Big XII title they are the frontrunner. For the CFP the Big XII is screwed.
No but the question remained if it was warranted or not. Now that has been emphatically answered.Big 12 didn't have any respect to begin with.

All that really matters is ending up in the playoff. Right now Alabama, Clemson, Michigan and Washington are still undefeated. Don't know what their schedules look like for the remainder. I REALLY wanted all five conferences to have undefeated teams. Some day it will happen and we get to watch the selection committee split hairs in justifying which conference to leave out.WVU and Baylor both can't see to win on the road today. Ohio State and Louisville both have a loss--why are Baylor and WVU any different?
Louisville has wins over terrible Charlotte and Marshall OOC and a loss to the only good team they've played. Ohio State lost to a two loss then unranked PSU team.
Too many people have a psychological problem with the BIG 12. Other leagues have teams with a loss and similar schedules--funny no one is screaming about them. Not really funny, actually kind of sad.
Easy answer to this question. Ohio State has beaten two of the Top 11 teams on the road, including the Big 12's leader by 21 points, and neither WVU nor Baylor has beaten any school ranked nearly as highly as either Oklahoma or Wisconsin. Apples to oranges comparison.Ohio State and Louisville both have a loss--why are Baylor and WVU any different?

WVU and Baylor aren't leading their conference either, OU is only leading the BIG 12 currently due to number of games played

Look, Most of us know and understand that this is just entertainment. It sometimes gets a bit elevated simply because WVU represents our home and that means something. Your post however, indicates that you, not other posters, have elevated all of this to an unhealthy level. And if the XII wins most of its bowl games .... poof ..... the respect will be back.
It's bad enough that too many of our fans' sense of self-worth is tied to the football team.
Now the whole conference is responsible for our sense of well-being.
