Again WVU's uniforms ranked among the best

Every week this season, at least one publication has ranked WVU’s uniforms among the best. Personally, I don't care much about what the team wears, but I fully recognize how important it is from a marketing perspective and to recruits. It's important in those areas and we should at least acknowledge that.

Thought the last two weeks the uniforms were very clean. I liked the Pitt combo, it was really sharp on TV. This past weekend was sharp too.

As much as I wish we were the old blue blue gold. Uniforms and these combos create tshirts, jersey sales. I love the old 70s logo and buy stuff with that all the time. I love the current logo. I have a couple hundred WVU T-shirts so maybe I am not the one to judge what looks good

I mean one example is the black unis. There are black Nike coal never quits tshirts everywhere. Coloseum and other brands the same. I know that isn't the only example. There are T-shirts out there with the throwback logo we wore Saturday. They made tshirts to mimic the Country Roads Jersey we wore last year for Pitt and the Mayo bowl.

I don't understand the issue with our brand and logo. At any given time looking at a player in uniform there is 4 flying WVs minimum.

I get that for the specials (Combat Pros, etc). I meant the different combinations of our regular uniforms.

I don't know that. I know almost every Nike t-shirt they make has at minimum a gold and blue version. Many with grey or white versions but that isn't the same thing.

That was kind of the point though. While your opinion is important, it's pretty clear that a large number of people do like WVU's uniforms and that's why they're talking about them. I'm not suggesting you guys have to love them but we need to at least see that there is some real benefit to switching it up at times.

Can't say I disagree with you. Having a black out game at 2-4 just doesn't sound like what we envisioned for that uniform combo. But win a few, and have some momentum going into KSU, would be a great time.

I'm guessing we may not get any night games this season unless we get moved to the Ocho for a game or two where WVU has more control over the kickoff time.

So maybe a 3:30 kickoff after daylight savings time (Baylor or UCF)? The battleship gray seats will mesh well with the coal rush uni's.

Bring back the mountaineer on them. Mountaineer was always on the basketball uniforms and the flying WV was football. Granted the biggest reason was Catlett's preference for it, (maybe a tad bit of jealousy, lol), but I loved it. I've always associated the basketball team with the mountaineer. Still to this day I have the mountaineer on my car not the flying WV.

Again, it's not that we have alternative uniforms, many schools do (though they may do only one game a year, if that). It's that we do is so often that we no longer have a traditional uniform. We just mish-mash out dozens of infinite combo's of blue, gold, grey, white and an array of the same colors for helmets mixed in with pork chop logo and traditional. We literally have hundreds and hundreds of combinations, that's our new tradition.....and seem hell bent on trying every damn one, except the ones that built our brand.
