Are we ready to give the 2016 Conference title to the ACC now that Kansas has completed an underachieving NCAA Tourney for the Big 12. Very poor effort from the overall #1 Seed. Already seen two National talking heads proclaim ACC #1. Any thoughts or arguments supporting Big 12? The ACC is pretty much the SEC of basketball. Does a Nat Title for Okie save the day for the Big 12. Not much of an agreement but anyone feel like trying?

It's typically referred to as a national title.

...and using, by your own definition, talking heads opinions to gloat is fairly pathetic.

I suppose if Oklahoma wins it all some people will be making that claim. Of course we'll also need to re-rank a six year span from 2005-2010 when the Big East was the best.

Looks like the OP got real tired by the end of his post not completing the words, but I have to agree with Orlaco here...

Hi! How ya been sweetheart? Hope all is well. You're a talking head right?

No question in my mind the Big East was the best ever. When the 9th best team wins Naty that's a sick league.

The Big 12 had a good year in Basketball getting 2 teams to the elite 8 and 1 to the final four is a respectable showing but this is the 1st time since wvu has been members that any Big 12 team has advanced past the sweet 16. The Acc has much more quality depth than the Big 12 ever will have. Outside of Kansas none of the other schools are really considered Basketball 1st schools and none have really shown any consistency to play at a high level for an extended period of time

half of the ACC is the Big East.

this was a stand-out BXII season, but the 2011 Big East to me was the best in college basketball history.

All-time record 11 Big East teams made the Big Dance. Zero in first four. All in the field. Many advanced at least a game. Four rematched in 2nd RD.

UConn cut down the nets as national champs. A 3 seed at that.

And that shows just how great of a tournament the ACC is having. Their 7 teams played 25 games vs the Big East's 21 games from those 11 teams. I agree that was the best conference ever though.

I am thinking ..................... that looking into the past to determine what league is or was the best ...........is a lesson in futility. Horace Greeley said it best.................'go west young man......or anywhere but into the past.' Warez

You're arguing over basketball supremacy? Honestly It's a 2-3 week season where a loss means back to football. There's more interest in football LOI Day and the spring football game.

If you sleep better thinking one conference is better than the other at basketball, good for you.

I sleep better knowing the Big XII is the best conference ever for my alma mata.

Good point, Texas, but Bob Huggins disagrees.

Warez...................the name is Warez. Just like Dale Jr...............when he eats at Bojangles. Dirty rice............he has the dirty rice. By the way............I almost forgot to say.............Happy Easter.

100% agree. No conference can touch the Big East in prime. Not even close. I thought UCONN finished 9th in Big East the year they won National Title.
