It was a very nice win given travel, a very short bench and elevation. Colorado rightfully tried to wear out our short bench. It almost worked. Except for the heroics of Yesufu. He was very strong late, when we most needed it. Small had cooled off and Powell was no where to be found. Andre is easily our best big right now. Hansberry is still making his way back from injury. Andre's 5th foul was of the dreadful variety. It was being closely called and his reach-in was incredibly stupid and unnecessary. Powell has gained confidence but he was quite passive after missing his first two in close looks in the second half. He was not making anything happen. Hopefully, a key learning point for him. We just have to find other scoring options to take some of the burden off of Small. He is going to wear down.

The announcer said that DeVries is making good progress during re-hab. Might he come back this year? We really, really need him. I thought our offense stagnated a bit in the second half. Too much one on one. And, we took some bad shots as a result. 3 - 1 in the Big 12 and 2 - 0 on the road. Would anyone have predicted that? Certainly not me. A long way to go but we have definitely found a coach.
