Stifling defense travels. Offense does not always make the trip. Certainly a tale of two halves. The second, offensively, I hope to forget. Rarely do you see opponents march to the hoop unmolested, as we have in the past. We switch constantly and stay in front of the opponent. Players move their feet. A joy to watch. Add to this a legit rim protector, and you have a defense that will keep you in most games.
Small is pure joy to watch. A true PG. Huggins eschewed them. I never understood why. He can score it and he can dish it. He has terrific court vision. He is the reason, with all the injuries, that we are winning. I really like Powell's game. He is not just a 3 point catch and shoot guy. He plays very good freshman defense (most freshmen struggle with this element). Andre is so much better than I thought he would be. He's active, hustles and plays good defense. A real find. Hansberry is still not himself. He is not moving that well, imo. He will continue to get healthy. It's nice have two capable 5's on the roster. If Harris could shoot at a decent clip, he would be a star. He needs a shooting coach. We are a well coached team. We do nothing fancy, we just execute. I am still in a bit of disbelief on what this team has achieved given all the difficulties. We have ourselves a coach.
