44 Republicans Voted Against Forest Management Wildfire Prevention in December

Trump once blamed officials who didn't, as he put it, "rake their forests" to prevent the spread of wildfires. Trump was likely referring to a forest management technique of clearing out underbrush.

In December, 44 Republicans voted against HR 10545, the American Relief Act of 2025, which provided funds for wildfire prevention measures, including $75,000,000 for the "construction or maintenance of shaded fuel breaks in the Pacific Regions."

The bill also replenished federal disaster relief funds due to recent disasters such as the multiple hurricanes that have hit the east coast. Republicans frequently vote against bills that help people, and in this case, could prevent wildfire from spreading and destroying people's homes.

MAGA voices right now are attempting to blame others for the California wildfires, yet 44 of them voted against a bill containing funding for wildfire prevention. Some of these Republicans have posted about the California fires, but failed to mention how they voted against wildfire prevention in December.

No Democrats voted against the bill. Independent Senator Bernie Sanders who caucuses with the Democrats did vote against the bill, but explained in a statement that he knew it would pass but was protesting against provisions that were stripped from the bill after Elon Musk got involved in the process. In tweet, outgoing Senator Mitt Romney also indicated his vote was a protest vote.

How so? Repubs share blame. Have you blamed fire and very strong winds yet? You should. How about climate change? How did it get so dry there? hint: chronic lack of rain. Have you criticized Trump for all the lies he's telling about the fire? Why not?

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Read their content and you might learn something true for a change.

I think they have learned California is a huge State that collects alot of tax money that their Socialist Leaders waste on stupid shit. Now they want to waste everyone's elses money on stupid shit because they have proven to have wasted Federal Funds in the past. Hence why some Republicans are skeptical to give them more money. They don't trust they will use it on what it was intended for.

Once Trump is sworn in there needs to be a Federal Task Force investigating Arson ASAP. Political Motives of suspects identified and reported to American People. The Federal Death Penalty given to anyone committing Terrorism.

Being the Radical Islamic Socialist and Communist are working together no stone should be left unturned looking for their enablers either.

Yes, there are a lot of RINO’s and I have no doubt they play a role. This is on Newsom and California. It’s always a Democrat liberal policy that leads to problems. As for climate change, the climate is and has always been changing. Did Dinosaurs cause the Ice Age?

The price tag to have been better prepared will be peanuts compared to what it will cost to rebuild.

Correct. He needs to type a resignation letter next.

Meanwhile in California. I would recommend all National Guard and Reserve Units to get some full time security ASAP.

L.A. is on fire; ‘No water in the hydrants;’ Newsom ignored Trump’s warning.

Rick Caruso, who lost against Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass in the 2022 election, told Fox 11: “There’s no water in the Palisades. There’s no water coming out of the fire hydrants. This is an absolute mismanagement by the city, we’ve got a mayor that’s out of the country, and we’ve got a city that’s burning, and there’s no resources to put out fires.”

As the fires were burning on Tuesday, Bass was in Ghana after being selected by Joe Biden for a delegation to attend the inauguration of new Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama.

Trump continued to post on Truth Social:

NO WATER IN THE FIRE HYDRANTS, NO MONEY IN FEMA. THIS IS WHAT JOE BIDEN IS LEAVING ME. THANKS JOE!

The fires in Los Angeles may go down, in dollar amount, as the worst in the History of our Country. In many circles, they’re doubting whether insurance companies will even have enough money to pay for this catastrophe. Let this serve, and be emblematic, of the gross incompetence and mismanagement of the Biden / Newscum Duo. January 20th cannot come fast enough!

Governor Gavin Newscum refused to sign the water restoration declaration put before him that would have allowed millions of gallons of water, from excess rain and snow melt from the North, to flow daily into many parts of California, including the areas that are currently burning in a virtually apocalyptic way. He wanted to protect an essentially worthless fish called a smelt, by giving it less water (it didn’t work!), but didn’t care about the people of California. Now the ultimate price is being paid. I will demand that this incompetent governor allow beautiful, clean, fresh water to FLOW INTO CALIFORNIA! He is the blame for this. On top of it all, no water for fire hydrants, no firefighting planes. A true disaster!

A 2018 video clip and tweets from 2019 showing Trump warning Newsom to “clean up” forests to prevent future fire outbreaks have resurfaced.

“There’s been a lot of study going on over the last little while,” Trump says in the video as he and Newsom examine the devastation caused by wildfires at the time, “and I will say I think you’re gonna have—hopefully this is going to be the last of these because this was a really, really bad one. And I know that Gavin’s committed, we’re all committed, I’m committed to make sure that all of this is cleaned out and protected. You gotta take care of the floors. You know, the floors of the forests, very important.”

“You look at other countries where you do it differently and it’s a whole different story. I was with the president of Finland and he said ‘We have a much different—we’re a forest nation.’ He called it a ‘forest nation.’ And they spend a lot of time on raking and cleaning and doing things and they don’t have any problem. And when it is, it’s a very small problem. So I know everybody’s looking at that, to that end. And it’s gonna work out,” Trump said.

My favorite aspect of the climate change excuse is it means the Californian officials knew they were at a heightened risk of these wildfires and still did nothing, ignoring the risk.

But at least the LAFD isn't too white anymore.

Loving every minute of this!

Msm and libtard Hollywood brag how California would rank in the top 10 of world economy if they were a country. I say we let them handle their own mess and clean it up. No federal dollars. Maybe Joy Behar, Robert DeNiro, etc can fund it?

FEMA gave North Carolina victims a 750 dollar loan. Has anyone seen what California residents are going to get?
Withhold aid to California until their state leaders stop breaking the law by allowing illegals into the country and providing them sanctuaries.

what are the odds a homeless or illegal caused these fires?

Certain groups target the homeless to do their criminal activities. Then give them drugs that will cause them to overdose. Same thing with protest. Rent a mob it's called. To make it look like you have more people than you really do supporting your cause. It's been done in Portland and Seattle over the years.

They also target the mentally ill sitting at home via the internet. So I'm not saying Libs and Conservatives need to start showering together. But you might want to take a break from attacking everything Trump does. You got bigger problems because the people orchestrating this don't give a shit who you voted for. They just want Anarchy. Burning your neighborhood down next is on the to do list.

They list the names of all 44 Repubs. You're welcome.

No they didn't. They made a sensational headline about a bill that had very little to do with forest management and a lot to do with other nonsensical items. They post those headlines and articles for low information voters like you who they know will run and repost it as a Gotcha Moment. It really is embarrassing that you fell for it. LOL

From everything I have been reading and watching even the majority of Liberals in California are blaming the Mayor and Governor. Even the Lesbian Fire Chief threw the Mayor under the bus. If you have lost them I doubt you are going to make any progress on here attempting to blame Republican Politicians whose job is to represent their district.
