If Kansas State beats Texas and TCU beats Oklahoma State, plus Iowa State-Kansas winner would have Texas, Kansas State, TCU and Iowa State-Kansas winner all at 7-3 in first place. Wow! What a conference!

SATURDAY BIG 12 GAMES
Oklahoma at WVU, 8 pm, ESPN2
(ESPNews till NBA game is over)

#8 Kansas at #13 Iowa State, noon, ESPN
Texas Tech at #11 Baylor, 1 pm, CBS
#15 TCU at Oklahoma State, 2 pm, ESPN+

#10 Texas at #7 Kansas State, 4 pm, ESPN2
First place (7-2) Longhorns at Kansas State, in 4-way tie for 2nd place at 6-3 with Iowa State, TCU, Kansas.

You cite an awful lot of "ifs" in your posts, most of which never pan out. The biggest was the "win 8 games in a row."

...and maybe win one on the road!
That would help. But every road game is against a top 15 team. 18 wins will be enough to get in unless the bubble burst because of conference championship upsets.

Yeah, just too early to tell for certain....a lot of basketball left to be played!

Here's how I see it:

Oklahoma at home - Easy win
Iowa State at home - Likely win
@ Texas - Likely loss
@ Baylor - Likely loss
Texas Tech at home - Easy win
Oklahoma State at home - Easy win
@ Kansas - Likely loss
@ Iowa State - Likely loss

That puts you at 17-13

Last game - Kansas State at home - Must win game - 18 - 13. Lose and you're 17-14, and will need to win opening game of Big XII tournament, maybe two games in Big XII tournament. If you're 18-13, think you will still get in at 18-14 if you were to lose in the opening round of Big XII tournament, assuming not a lot of weird things happen in other tournaments, but they normally do.

Bottom line, if it plays out as it should, the Kansas State game is going to be huge.

That Oklahoma bunch is hard to figure! WVU should beat them in Morgantown but no way I thought Oklahoma had any chance with 'bama and they beat the shit out of the tide. Maybe it's just college basketball that 's hard to figure...

It's the home court advantage and the home cooking associated with it.

17-14 puts them on the bubble or in the bubble. See Michigan last year 14 losses making it in. See OU with 14 losses making it in 2018. There have been 11 teams with 14 losses that have made the tournament. With 5 of those in 2011.

All of those teams got their 14th loss in conference tournament. Still think you need to get to 18 regular season, and you'll be in based on NET ranking being likely greater than the other teams under consideration. Going 17-14, and then losing opening conference tournament game may not have a good look at 17-15. But, who knows who the lard asses making the picks will take.

Oklahoma has an 8 game win streak against WVU. The Mountaineers have not beaten OU since March 13, 2019 in the Big 12 Tournament. That made 5 straight wins for WVU over Oklahoma.

All depends on other conference tournaments and if upsets occur. Especially since the media is full of shit claiming 9 Big 12 teams make it in.
