    The cost is greater to keep him around than to pay him his money and move on. The program is at its lowest point in 50 years, players are leaving in masse, fan support and engagement is essentially nil. It will only get worse until he's gone.

    How long will a rebuild take?

    He’s a freshman who is really good, and will surely get lots of attention from other schools, especially with our program in turmoil. He’s from FLA, I can easily see one of those schools or an SEC team poaching him. Hopefully he sticks around, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

    Maybe that was the case before, but with NIL and the new portal rules these are essentially professional athletes and hired mercenaries. Loyalty goes both ways, so when we put out a product that sucks that’s the message the fans have to send.
