And so my challenge to the stat nerds is simply this: don't look at the numbers, but look at the how.

Did ISU make Neal limit Green’s running ability? It’s what makes him different. His drop back passing does not. Is Gallagher not the quick twitch player he was supposed to be? If he is, can brown design some plays for him? Is Farmer quick twitch? If he is, and even if he can’t block nor run good routes yet, at least design a play or two to give him a chance to break one. Seems like a line returning several starters with the running ability of Green, White, and Donaldson should run the crap out of the ball.

Do you know if he is related to the Gompers family in Wheeling (kids all went to Wheeling Central), knew several of them and most were all WVU grads....thinking a possible son of one of the boys. Wouldn't hurt if that is the case.
