I like the cut of UNCs jib....

Jimbo is very well washed up compared to him in his prime, but a washed up Jimbo is still an upgrade to Neal Brown. When you have a dud for a coach, it doesn't take much for an upgrade. It just is what it is. Jimbo is a local so he's a target for WVU. Welcome to life yall lol.
Wait, you mean under Gee we went from a modest destination program for head coaches to a fallback for coaches past their prime?

Rivalry Week Opponents in Big12

We seem to have a different opponent every year and I'm curious why the league doesn't at least try to establish some consistency for the one-offs like us, once the existing rivalries are scheduled. In a perfect world, I'd assume:
  • Existing:
    • UofA vs. ASU
    • BYU vs. Utah
    • KU vs. KSU
  • Possibilities
    • OSU vs. TTU (border state Us)
    • Baylor vs. TCU (Texas private schools)
    • WVU vs. UofC (land grants)
    • UH vs. UC (city schools)
    • UCF bs. ISU (leftovers, lol)
Thoughts? (I get UC vs. WVU is probably better for fans, but would rather see us with a state university rival)

The Left's playbook against Trump supporters has taken a dark turn. They've escalated from riots and protests to Swatting...

URGENT ALERT:

The Left's playbook against Trump supporters has taken a dark turn.
They've escalated from riots and protests to Swatting, and let's call it what it is:

These are not just pranks, they are death threats aimed at our President-elect Donald Trump's appointees and incoming Cabinet members

Here's the harsh truth: swatting isn't some harmless game. It's a tactic deployed by the radical elements within the left-wing cult that's been emboldened over the years. These incidents are designed to provoke a lethal response from law enforcement, putting lives at risk. It's a game of Russian roulette with real bullets.

You might remember the two assassination attempts on President Trump this year. Those weren't isolated incidents; they're part of a pattern. This swatting spree against Trump's team is cut from the same cloth. It's the same violent cult mentality, the same hatred, the same refusal to accept reality that drives these acts. They lost. They cannot take it. We wrote the first book on them: BULLETPROOF.

We spent all day yesterday warning about leftist reprisals.

Look at these leftists and their violent rhetoric on BlueSky

Let's break this down:

Targeted Harassment: Swatting is a direct threat to the lives of our leaders. It's not just about disruption; it's about causing harm, potentially fatal harm, through fear and tactical deceit

Echoes of Violence: This is the same playbook from the radicals who thought they could end Trump's life to end his policies. Two attempts already, and now they're switching tactics, but the intent is the same

The Left's War on Democracy: When you can't win at the polls, you attack the players. It's a strategy born out of desperation, a belief that their 'right' to power overrides the rule of law and basic human decency.

Imagine, being an incoming Cabinet member or an appointee, trying to serve your country, only to have your family awakened by armed police in the dead of night, all because someone decided your political alignment was their personal target. It's not just irresponsible; it's a direct assault on American governance.

We must see these swatting incidents for what they are: an extension of the cancel culture that has graduated from social media shaming to physical intimidation. The left has weaponized every tool at their disposal, including law enforcement, to push their agenda.

America, this is a wake-up call. We need to protect our public servants, not just for their sake, but for the sake of our democracy. The left's violent cult mentality has been unchecked for too long. They've gone from words to actions, from protests to swatting, and from that to outright assassination attempts.

We need to stand up, speak out, and demand accountability. This isn't about politics; it's about preserving the peace and safety that we, as Americans, deserve. Swatting isn't just a crime; it's an act of terrorism when directed at our leaders.

Why would he need to come back to coach here for way below his market value? Because he’s from West Virginia? He doesn’t owe us anything. How about WVU acts like a big boy who belongs in a P4 conference and pay the money to get him? We should feel honored one of our own appears to want to come here and coach our state university. Why insult the man thinking he should coach here for nothing?
I said a market rate deal FWIW.

I don’t think we should move heaven and earth to get him. He’s old, 1 year removed from the game, has no history recruiting to WVU or its neighboring peers and with more resources and money to work with than most coaches he put in ho hum results. The school he left is better without him.

But yes, if he just wants to coach again and is willing to understand that we are going to offer a market rate deal and not hamstring ourselves to a coach who objectively could fall on his face without endless resources to work with, then I say welcome home.

Butt hurt aside, did RR have much success anywhere after he left here? At the time he had a fresh concept and Pat White at WVU. I honestly did not follow him and don't even know where he went after Michigan
No he hasn't. You are correct. That being said i don't think it was all him. Imo he's just a better fit at WVU and always was. That ship has sailed though, imo.
