MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University volleyballs head coach Jen Greeny has announced the hiring of two assistant coaches for the 2024 season.

Aubrey Becker and Mike Becker are set to arrive in Morgantown and join the program.

"I am thrilled with the addition of Aubrey and Mike to help build the program at West Virginia," WVU coach Jen Greeny said. "They both have incredible experience both recruiting and training at a plethora of institutions, and they will bring a wealth of knowledge to Mountaineer Volleyball. They are both not only incredible coaches, but even better people."

Aubrey Becker | Assistant Coach

Becker joins the Mountaineer coaching staff after three seasons as an assistant coach at Iowa. Previously, she spent one year as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Oral Roberts.

At Iowa, Becker assisted in all aspects of training, scouting, recruiting, scheduling, media content and summer camps.

Prior to that, Becker was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Davidson from 2019-21. She guided a pair of Wildcats to Atlantic 10 postseason honors in 2019, as Hattie Rodriguez and Madeline Wynn were named to the A-10 Second Team and All-Rookie team.

In 2018, Becker served as an assistant coach at Brown University, helping the Bears to their best season since 2014. She helped coach Eliza Grover and Sabrina Stillwell to All-Ivy League honors.

Becker was Florida State's director of operations from 2016-17, as the Seminoles made two NCAA Tournament appearances and reached the 2016 Sweet Sixteen.

The Tulsa, Oklahoma, native was a three-year starter at Austin Peay, where she played setter and opposite. She was a two-time all-tournament selection and 2015 team MVP. She ranks among the program's career leaders in assists (7th) and total blocks (16th).

Becker earned her bachelor's degree in communications and public relations and graduated magna cum laude from Austin Peay in 2016. She added a master's degree in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia University Irvine in 2017.

Mike Becker | Assistant Coach

Becker joins the West Virginia volleyball staff after spending one season at Iowa as an assistant coach and was the Director of Volleyball Video Analytics.

In Iowa, Becker oversaw the production of practice and gameday video as well as data analytics. Becker also was responsible for coding in-match and providing the statistical breakdown of the Hawkeyes and their opponents. He created and implemented camp plans for Iowa's volleyball camps and assisted in the creative and marking side of student-athlete recruitment.

Prior to his time in Iowa City, Becker served as an assistant coach at Michigan State for one season. While there, he served as the lead scouter and developed individualized and team training plans.

Becker also spent three seasons at Illinois State, where he helped the Redbirds to three consecutive Missouri Valley Conference Tournament titles. Becker was a part of three of ISU's four straight NCAA Tournament appearances from 2018-21 and two regular-season conference titles in 2019 and 2020-21. With the Redbirds, Becker worked primarily with the team's blocking and defense initiatives, while taking a lead role in scouting opponents. Becker's guidance in those areas showed major results as ISU led the conference in blocking and opponent hitting percentage in each of the three seasons he was at ISU.

On April 15, 2021, Becker was honored with the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Thirty Under 30 Award, which recognizes up-and-coming coaching talent at all levels of the sport.

Becker served as the Director of Operations at Pitt for the three seasons prior to Illinois State. In this role, Becker controlled the day-to-day operations for the volleyball team, including serving as a liaison to athletic department officials. Pitt reached the NCAA Tournament in each of Becker's three years on staff, marking the program's longest postseason streak since the 1990's.

Prior to joining the staff at Pitt, Becker was the head coach of the Pacific Coast Volleyball Club from 2014-16. In that role, he headed the Pacific Coast Volleyball Club 18-U team. He also served as the Delta Valley Volleyball Club head coach from 2013-14, leading the 18-U team to a Gold Division finish in northern California.

During that same period, Becker worked in the development department at the University of the Pacific. From 2013-15, he was the Coordinator of Athletics Development and conducted prospect visits and worked closely with volunteers to successfully improve the Pacific Athletic Foundation (PAF) Drive. From there, he became the Annual Giving manager from 2015-16, where he assisted with management of the PAF, leading volunteer engagement for athletic fund drives and enhancing donor relations. He also managed annual and campaign business plans and activities to achieve annual giving fundraising goals.

A native of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Becker was a standout collegiate student-athlete at Springfield College from 2009-13. His teams won three Division III NCAA Championships in 2010, 2012 and 2013, while concluding 2011 as the national runner-up. Voted as the team MVP during the 2013 NCAA Championship run, Becker played under highly decorated USA and NCAA volleyball coach Charlie Sullivan. He earned his Bachelor of Science in sport management from Springfield College in 2013 and a Master of Science in athletic administration from the University of the Pacific in 2016.
