--Credit to the guys for taking the right approach and they switched some things up defensively. Eilert understood they weren't the best three-point shooting team and they didn't want them pounding it down low so they used more zone. The Mountaineers also rebound it better out of that even though that doesn't make a lot of sense.

--West Virginia didn't go side-to-side with the token process and they attacked it early which was a critical part of the game unlike what they did in Orlando. UCF was averaging about 6 three-point makes per game and they knew they were going to make some shots but forcing them to shoot the ball deep was their best chance to win.

--The game in Orlando they put a lot more pressure on the perimeter players because they didn't have Jesse Edwards on the floor. Having him made a tremendous difference.

--Kerr Kriisa was really good tonight and they were plus on assist to turnover ratio. Kriisa really controlled the game in several aspects and it's nice to have that as a first year head coach. It's good to have veterans out there.

--Eilert said they will take tomorrow off to get their legs under them and get their minds right and then have a two-game prep before getting ready for a very challenging defense in Iowa State.

--Jesse Edwards helped to take Diallo out of the game. It's helpful to keep them out of foul trouble in the zone and the fact they are rebounding out of it made it an easy decision. Credit to the staff and assistants for putting together a game plan that was successful.

--RaeQuan Battle is doing a much better job letting the game come to him and being patient with it.

--Jojo Harris was excellent tonight and is starting to come into his own. They need to find some more minutes for him but Quinn Slazinski played really well tonight too.

--You won't win a lot of games when teams take 16 more shots than you, but it comes down to points off turnovers, second chance points and taking care of the ball, working for the best shot and they had to match their toughness which they didn't do in Orlando.

--Getting this game is critical at this juncture with two really hard games coming up on the road. It's critical to get that confidence.
