I do believe that we take Baylor down today... The primary reason is that we've learned a great deal in our two losses to the Bears. But, the second half of our last game vs. Baylor was an experiment. And, we quietly passed with flying colors. Here's what we took away from that 2nd half, which are our keys for victory today>>>
1) Out-rebound them soundly (because they are soft): We outboarded Baylor 39-31, and a staggering 20-11 on the offensive glass in our last game. They can be had down low.
2) 10 threes. BU will zone us. They will dare us to shoot over them. And, shoot over them we must, and then crash hard. Last time out Jevon went 7/13 from "3". The rest of the team went 1/11. We need Jevon's shot to fall early today, and we need Dax and others to fill it up. We get to ten threes, we win.
3) Hold BU to 5 or less treys. Harass their shooters and make them work for baskets inside. Last time out, they went 8/15 from three, and O'Neal & Prince killed us both games from beyond the arc. We need to harass those guys, and allow the offense to flow through Gathers, or anyone else they wish to put on the block. They are not a team who excels on post-up/flex offense. They want to shoot outside shots, and fast-break.
