the thing is the players are 18-22 years old. 98 percent of them have no clue what "black lives matter" is. they see the words which are true. However, the players do not know it is an organization that raises money then doesn't give that money to any black people.

Again the words black lives matter are fine. we all understand the words. it's the organization that is the lowest piece of scum on earth and also, again I don't think our players understand it's more than words.


That said there are some players on the team that I know do not support blm the org.

Whatever some of the founder's political beliefs are BLM isn't especially anti-capitalistic. Anyway, as for today, it has morphed into a mass movement with the theme of racial justice. That is what 95% of its supporters, including the players, believe in and by extension that is what BLM has come to symbolize. While politically expedient, trying to label what is happening now as being some sort of Marxist uprising is asinine and frankly desperate. The NCAA allowed for a statement logo on the front of the jersey and the ability to change the name on the back to a social justice warrior....The Helmet is WVU domain...unless they agreed to swap the helmet for the front of the jersey...and Nike might have had something to do with that.

One expects the leadership of WVU to lead, not simply bend to the prevailing winds. Racial equality should be a human right. How it is achieved is another story. There are better, more substantive ways to work toward racial equality than slapping a sticker of a shadowy organization that thrives by its use of a worthy-sounding name, but which does not follow the principles it espouses to the public. Among other things, the leadership of BLM is mired in anti-semitism.

This isn't injecting politics in the athletic program. This is embracing racial justice and racial equality. You think the federal government forbids employees from wearing BLM? No. The federal government embraces equality; it has a zero tolerance policy for racism and discrimination. You think the federal government allows Biden and Trump stickers, badges, pins, paraphernalia, etc? No. It is apolitical. The BLM is viewed by the federal government as apolitical. Just the same as promoting LGBTQ rights.

If WVU embracing racial justice and racial equality costs them fans, I'm guessing they will take that chance and be on the right side of history. I'm guessing they couldn't care less if they lose racist fans. If a BLM helmet sticker bothers you, you need to check yourself - you are a racist and I welcome you and anyone to leave our fan base.
