Georgia State kicker Michael Hayes is being targeted as a kickoff specialist and field goal kicker only. He was also being targeted by Arkansas, Mississippi, Texas Tech, Iowa State and Cincinnati but felt that West Virginia was the best fit for him after he came on an official visit. He was here earlier in the week and got to spend a lot of time with Jeff Koonz and Tony Thompson and was really impressed with their knowledge and how they handle kickers. He was an honorable mention performer last year at Georgia State with 49 of his 67 kickoffs being touchbacks and he connected on 11-14 field goals. He will enroll at West Virginia next week and has two years left. I'll have more in an article.
