Somewhat OT college hiring

Interesting to it seems (no research done) that many more college staff hires are coming from the professional ranks-is this a sign of the shift the NIL and portal have created and more schools are looking for coaches that know how to “deal with” professional athletes as opposed to the Bill Stewart’s who “make a kid feel at home” or those who “turn a raw kid into an NFL prospect”? I wonder if basketball hiring will begin trending that way?
