Sagarin doesn't use sportswriters or coaches in his poll so your reference to Vingle is a moot point. All human polls are flawed IMHO, especially this early in the season as I have stated many times - Notre Dame starting the season ranked highly every single year is a perfect example. Sagarin gets more accurate as the season goes along, keep watching it.

Sportswriters and coaches have their own selfish purposes for their unjustified votes in polls, which is why I prefer the computer polls. Mitch is a homer so WVU may get a vote that is undeserved, Doc is a homer which may explain Marshall getting votes even before the first game was played.

I've stated repeatedly that human polls are flawed, especially this early in the season. Today WVU is ranked.........two weeks from now maybe not. Sagarin is much more accurate, especially as the season rolls on.
