--West Virginia is now 0-10 away from Morgantown this season and this two-game road swing was about as bad as it could go after the 94-58 loss to Texas and then another game where the Mountaineers weren't competitive for almost the entire second half in a 81-65 loss to TCU. We're at the point of the season where this sort of is what it is at this stage and while this team was losing games earlier in the year, they were for the most part competitive. That just wasn't the case over the last two.

--West Virginia was really sloppy with the ball yet again and this team doesn't just turn it over, they like to allow teams to get easy live ball baskets. The Mountaineers had 19 total turnovers, a season high, and allowed TCU to get 26 points off those mistakes. The turnovers also allowed TCU to get 10 more shot attempts.

--The offense bogged down far too much yet again in this one as there were multiple stretches where this team couldn't make a field goal including an 8-minute stretch.

--The Mountaineers were bullied in the post in this one as TCU held a 44-18 edge in points in the paint. West Virginia really didn't have any answers and it's been an issue all season on the defensive end. Teams are simply getting easier looks and moving the ball and this team is struggling to guard. On the flip side, the Mountaineers were 6-16 on layups and dunks along with going .942 points per possession .

--It was good to see RaeQuan Battle get back on track somewhat with 21 points on 7-17 shooting but he is still making things hard on himself with his shot selection and forcing things. And like most of the team he hasn't had his best effort on the defensive end either.

--Rough night for Jesse Edwards as he was 1-6 from the field with 6 points and 4 fouls, two of which were flagrant one fouls. Edwards was getting beat up all night and anytime he touched the ball he had a crowd around him, but was caught twice going high with his arms. Because of the foul trouble he was really never able to get into a rhythm although it was encouraging to see him go 4-4 from the foul line.

--Thought overall it was a solid game for Quinn Slazinski who had 5 assists to go along with 15 points on 6-11 shooting. He has his issues defensively (who doesn't right now?), but if he can give you solid offense he can help this team. He was tied for the lead in rebounds with RaeQuan Battle with 5.

--Kerr Kriisa continues to make shots going 5-9 from the floor and 3-6 from deep, but he's got to take better care of the basketball. He had 6 of those turnovers and when he turns it over, it's often a bad one that leads to easy baskets on the other end.

--The Mountaineers got to the line 18 times and made 15 of those. Feel like I'm reaching for positives at this point.

--Next up is Baylor but the good news is that this game will be at home.
