New Basketball Season Tickets On Sale Monday


MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (June 26, 2015) – New season tickets for West Virginia’s 2015-16 men’s basketball campaign will go on sale Monday, June 29, at the Mountaineer Ticket Office.

West Virginia will play 15 regular season home games and one exhibition game at the WVU Coliseum. The Mountaineers open the regular season against Northern Kentucky on Nov. 13. Every Big 12 Conference school will visit Morgantown again this season. Those include Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas and Texas Tech.

Upper level season tickets are available for $336 each in the upper sideline sections and $266 in the upper baseline sections. Upper sideline sections are sections 2-24 and 42-54. Upper baseline sections are sections 26-40 and 66-80. Purchasing upper level season tickets will guarantee fans saving money compared to buying tickets at the single game price.Faculty/staff can purchase up to six season tickets at a discounted rate. Lower level seats are available only to renewing season ticket holders.

New men’s basketball season ticket holders who purchase by the July 31 priority deadline will have the opportunity to select their seats at the Optional Seat Selection Process in September. Season tickets purchased after the July 31 deadline will have their seats allocated by the Mountaineer Ticket Office to the best available based on Mountaineer Athletic Club (MAC) annual giving levels and priority points within each giving level.

Order forms are being mailed to MAC members, past season ticket holders and WVU faculty/staff members.

“Coming off a run to the NCAA Sweet 16, it’s an exciting time to be part of Mountaineer basketball,” said Matt Wells, Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs. “Mountaineer fans make the Coliseum a tough place to play and we encourage fans to buy their season tickets today to help Coach Huggins and the team compete for a Big 12 Championship.”

To order 2015-16 men’s basketball season tickets, visit WVUGAME.com, call 1-800-WVU GAME or stop by the Mountaineer Ticket Office in the WVU Coliseum. Single game tickets will go on sale at a later date.

West Virginia is coming off of a trip to the NCAA Sweet 16 for the fifth time in the last 11 seasons. The Mountaineers return three starters and 11 total players for the 2015-16 season.
