Offense that doesn't hurt you, controls the clock, keeps the other offense off the field. Fewer big plays, more about possession.

Defense that plays field position, doesn't bend and doesn't break.

Special teams this year have been indeed special. We are winning field position football. We are giving up essentially no yardage on punts - remember how frustrating that was for us the last several years - we're actually returning punts for yards (love to see Preston break one), and we're now officially blocking kicks.

This is how Jim Tressel (ole sweater vest) and Frank Beamer made a living. Both of those guys played for national titles. Both of those guys also used to drive their fan bases wild because there were not a lot of blow out wins. You're in every game, but your opponent is never more than 2-3 scores out of it either.

We now have:

@Houston
vs Oklahoma State
@UCF
vs BYU
@ Oklahoma
vs Cincinnati
@ Baylor left

We will favored for sure in Houston, Oklahoma State, BYU, Cincinnati, and Baylor. I think we're looking at a team with a floor of 8-4, and if we can find some way to beat Oklahoma, we may very well play in the Big 12 Championship game against Texas.
