Not an expert on all things summer league, so this is quite telling & informative of how it actually works. It's also a comprehensive list of what team every undrafted free agent is currently affiliated with.

Seems the vast majority of the 'contracts' are for the Summer League only unless otherwise noted. Article says players switch teams often up to the start of their event.

My take is Staten is using the Las Vegas event primarily as a showcase. What'd be key for him is to work his way into any training camp - Kings or otherwise - in the fall prior to the season's start. One would assume there will be competition for PG contracts within all 30 teams. His path to a NBA career likely will be that of a journeyman & hopefully not dissimilar to that of Dellavedova.

Meantime, joining Staten in Vegas are fellow free agents G Corey Hawkins (UC Davis), F Shaquielle McKissic (Ariz State) and F Duje Dukan (Wisc).
