Think about what our WR has been the past few seasons: we 'led' the conference in drops and generally underperformed. He comes into this year with the expected top 3 to be: Carter, Braham and Aaron. Two of them "self redshirt" aka quit, Carter largely disappoints and showed low to moderate at best interest all season.
So what ended up happening? Was the passing game a compete disaster? No. And let's be honest, we don't have a precision passer as QB. He took some walk-ons and two true freshman and we were getting largely competent, P5 level production at the position.
I think what happened in that WR room was remarkable. Hope he sticks around and I am eager to see what this group looks like next year with a full off season of work with Greene and be confident starters.
