Since Neal Brown (finally) inserted Garrett Greene into the '22 Oklahoma game to (finally) relieve battered and worn JT Daniels, WVU has played 16 games with the Greene-Marchiol running QB combo.
In those 16 games, WVU has gone 11-5.
15 of those 16 games have been against P5 teams - WVU is the only team in the country to have played that many P5 opponents in that time frame.
The 5 losses were to a top ten K-State, a top 15 Penn State, Hail Mary, a Big 12 runner up Oklahoma State, a top 15 Oklahoma.
In those 11 wins are victories over Pitt, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech (finally), and of course a bowl victory over UNC.
Over that time, no other P5 team has rushed for more yards.
We should always strive to be better. But, we're making progress.
