Ian Cline is originally from Greenbrier County, WV. He transferred to Providence Day in Charlotte to play under Will Grier’s day, Chad. Stats YTD are 76 carries for 898 yards (11.8/carry) and 18 TDS. 10 receptions for 151 and 1 TD. Just played Charlotte Catholic (Sean Boyle’s Alma mater) and went 22 for 261 and 4 TDS. I’ve linked the game. They have two guys going to Notre Dame, so the level of competition is not an issue. He got his 1st D-1 offer from UNC-Charlotte after the game (Biff Poggi was in attendance). He’s getting feelers from Tennessee and Penn. State. His dad was a helluva RB at Greenbrier West in the early 90’s and walked on at WVU. His momma is a good friend of mine, Heather Allen. His Uncle is Rodney Allen that played football and baseball at WVU (shortest punt return TD in WVU history!) and his cousin is Eli Allen, last year’s WV state BB player of the year and now with NOVA and Crutchfield.
His team has a QB going to Michigan, a WR going to North Carolina, an OL going anywhere he wants. This kid need a serious look from WVU.
