So Dusty and Danny were discussing Alabama’s portal losses and reflecting on their Athletic Director’s interview on Finebaums show.

Dusty made a damn good point and I’ll summarize: He said that now more than ever fans have the right to use the collective “We” when discussing their favorite college sports teams as these multi-millionaire coaches and athletic directors continue to ask us for more.

He went on to share how fans are not only being asked to pay more and more for tickets, parking, etc, but additional donations to the school, the athletic department, and now also the NIL collective. He said that ADs need to recognize this while also understanding that something needs to change. Danny K added how anthletic departments are getting tens and sometimes hundreds of millions in TV contract $ and yet they still are asking us fans to pay for their players NIL as well as make donations. The two of them chuckled saying “Imagine if NFL owners asked for fans to supplement the money they are spending on tickets, parking, etc to make donations to the team and to help pay the players salaries?”

Thought it was a solid point as we all agree some things will need to change in the coming years.
