Does Georgia Southern have kids with Greg Blue type speed?

Greg Blue????????????

I don't know about Blue, but GSU has a contingent of very good backs including the QB.

Our top 5

Breda - 1500 yards at 8.7 a carry
Eleson - 1100 yards at 6.4 ypc
Ramsby - 700 yards 4.7 ypc
Upshaw - 9.6 ypc
Days - 9.2 ypc

Those are great numbers. Vs who?

NC - Jacoby Brissett throws 35-yard TD with 1:37 left to rally Wolfpack.

1 2 3 4
GASO 7-10-3-3 =23
NCST 3-0-7-14 = 24

Georgia Tech
Justin Thomas threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Deon Hill with 23 seconds remaining, and Georgia Tech avoided a huge upset after blowing a 25-point lead, beating Georgia Southern 42-38 on Saturday.

1 2 3 4
GASO 7-3-20-8 =38
GT 14-21-0-7 =42

In both games GSU fumbled with about 2 minutes left and NCS & GT scored a TD to win. Yes we lost but our offense showed that we could score against FBS defenses with FCS players.

NAVY
I won't even post that sad game. Navy just beat the $h!t out of us & it wasn't even close.

You guys posted a bunch of games you lost. Sounds like your team is good at choking and has a terrible defense.

Well cant argue with much there. Still we didn't have a full compliment of 85 scholarships, went toe to toe with then for 1 hour & only lost by a total of 5 points between the 2 games. You will find out that we have corrected those mistakes & will give you hell.

Defense won two games for the Eagles last year. Our returning headhunter at safety saved our bacon win a 100 interception return for a TD against TxSt and saved it again with a hit inside the endzone on the next to last play of the game against ULM to separate the receiver from the ball on what would could have been a game winning TD for ULM if he had not made the hit.

I will resend my previous statement. Our defense did fine. The offense put enough points on the board and if you look at the GT game we held them to 7 points the entire second half while scoring 28.

GSU went 9-3 & WVU & won 7 in their regular season. They also need to correct some things.

Sorry, dude. Giving up 35 points in the first half to a triple option based attack (the offense you see every day at practice because you run a triple option) does not scream good defense. Even if you did perform better in the 2nd half, it doesn't make up for the fact that you were wrecked in the 1st half. That's just not good enough for GT.

I am not trying to be mean, but your "almost win" performances mean nothing. You beat Florida? That's a big win for your school. Why? Because your football team is filled with guys who drew no interest from big schools and/or couldn't make the grades. Florida lost 8 games that year. They were rancid. Didn't they finish with a 7 game losing streak?

I am sorry, but you are at least going to be beaten by every P5 team you play. Your body of work shows that you put up a good fight, and can beat teams on your level. It doesn't change the fact that if you played our schedule, at best, you finish 1-11.

Towson tried some option/zone read stuff on us last season and got absolutely wrecked. We even played a true freshman QB for a few series. They put up a big fat bagel on the scoreboard. Their team looked absolutely defeated at the end. It was sad.

Did ValleyBoy just read shortgap's post correctly. Did he just compare the Georgia Southern option game to that of Townson.

The same Townson team that only averaged 163 rushing yards a game last year. The same Townson team that offense only averaged scoring 16 points a game last year. The same Tonwson team that win/lose record last year was 4-8.

Florida was 4-8, and that is all you have to hang your hat on.

I see you and Towson as being on the exact same level. You are both ants. Which ant is bigger? Nobody cares.

Minus 10 points for referring to yourself in the 3rd person.

So you can understand why Georgia Southern fans can hang their hats on that game and I will not post this in the 3rd person so you can understand this post.

There is no way in hell that Georgia Southern should have won that game but they did. Going into the game with Florida do you know how many players that Georgia Southern had on a scholly that were not able to play in that game due to being out due to season ending injuries........Seventeen. Just so you understand that I will repeat it Georgia Southern had 17 football players that would have played against the Gators if they had not been injured during that football season.

Granted Florida only won 4 games that year but their defense still finished the year rank #5 in Total Defense by the NCAA and #13 in Rushing Defense. The Gators problems that year was not their Defense but there Offense which only rank #103 in Total Offense. The Eagles’ 429 team rushing yards marked the fourth-highest rushing total ever recorded against the Gators.

Georgia Southern won that game because of heart and just plain old want too.

That the way Georgia Southern plays football. That why Georgia Southern has won so many football games over the years.
That why the following saying mean so much to Georgia Southern.
"Runts try harder"

and
GATA

G - Get
A - After
T - There
A - Ass

*Well friend, its like this - GT was up 35 -10 in the first half. Our team did not fold, but responded by shutting them out. the for 3rd and last two minutes of the game. GT never stopped us from scoring . A fumble within our 35 gave them the chance for the go ahead score. Didn't GT win the ACC & their bowl? With NCSU the reverse happened. GSU won the first half but fumbled again within their own 35 to let NC take the lead with
no left. As far as WV is concerned, GSU 34 - WVU 31.
