long story short. I see a lot of Vietnam Vets several times a day. Some are open about the war, others aren’t so much.

Anyways. There is one in particular that comes in every Tuesday for some unknown reason and he mainly buys shelled nuts and a 15lb bag of Hills Dog Food. He’s a really nice fella at the age of 74. He was drafted in 1966 and was in country for 7 months. I don’t why, but I just randomly asked yesterday about why he only buys nuts. He said, “ the gook i killed smelled like peanuts.” He said he hilled 23 VCs. I asked him how he kept count, and he said by cutting their ears off.

he has PTSD and never got over it but i guess that’s just a reminder of what he did and how he copes with it.

Any who. Just thought I’d share.
