WVU Release Baseball Announces 2024 Promo Schedule

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (Feb. 21, 2024) The West Virginia University baseball program has announced the promotional schedule for the 2024 season.



This year's promotions at Wagener Field at Monongalia County Ballpark includes the return of Baseball Bingo, Friday Night Happy Hour and several themed games, as well as multiple giveaways, including schedule magnets, posters, shakers, bucket hats, replica jersey rally towels, enter-to-win prizes, Coach Mazey signed baseballs, and a Coach Dale Ramsburg bobblehead courtesy of United Bank.

Baseball Bingo can be played at the ballpark at every weekday game this season. That includes the team's home opener on Wednesday, February 28, against Canisius.

Friday Night Happy Hour returns for six contests this spring, with half-off beverages available from 5:30-6:30 p.m., before every Friday night home game (March 8, March 15, March 29, April 12, April 26, and May 10)

Fans also can partake in several themed days at the ballpark, such as Kids Day, which is set for four Sunday Big 12 games, beginning on March 31, against Oklahoma State, with a post-game egg hunt. Kids Days will feature a Kids Zone and inflatables. Kids also can run the bases and grab autographs from the team after the game.

Additionally, Family Day returns for three Big 12 Saturdays (April 13, April 27, and May 11). Fans can purchase four tickets and receive a $10 concession voucher for just $30.

Dollar Days also are back in 2024, and set for Sunday, March 17, against Ohio State and Tuesday, March 26, against Akron. $2 Tuesdays also return for four games this season (March 5, April 2, April 16, and May 14) with select concessions (tickets are regular price) on sale for $2.



The game against Pitt will also be a “Stripe the Ballpark” game with fans in even sections encouraged to wear GOLD and odd sections to wear BLUE. The designated student section, 109, will be encouraged to wear GOLD.



April 14, against UCF will also be our Gold Rush and Lace Up for Pediatric Cancer game as well as bark at the park with dogs admitted free with proof of vaccination and a signed waiver.

Other themed games include Camper Reunion Day on March 16, against Ohio State with free tickets available to campers, Friday Night Frenzy on April 12, against UCF with the first 400 fans receiving a reversible bucket hat, and Dinosaur Day on April 13, against UCF with the first 500 fans receiving a special themed poster. The concession stands will also be selling dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets for Dinosaur day while supplies last.

Trivia night will be on March 8, against BYU with prizes being given out every inning.

Military Appreciation Day will take place on May 8, against Penn State with discounted tickets available for purchase for veterans and active duty military members HERE. Fans will also get a replica military jersey rally towel.


Limited enter-to-win giveaway prizes including three signed Coach Mazey baseball caps on March 30 and one signed Alex Manoah baseball cap on May 10.



Other giveaways include a Coach Ramsburg Bobblehead courtesy of United Bank on April 27, against Baylor, a hooded t-shirt giveaway courtesy of WVU Medicine on May 11, against Kansas State, and a commemorative Coach Mazey digi-signed baseball on May 14, against Kansas State.
