WVU is 2-10 against Top 25 teams so far, beating #19 Iowa State splitting with #22 TCU. The 8 Top 25 teams that WVU played (4 of them twice) are barely above .500 at 31-27 against other Top 25 teams.

But the Mountaineers are 13-1 against all their other opponents! Who you’re playing makes a huge difference!

For example, WVU beat Pitt, which is in first place in the ACC, beat Penn, 3rd in the Ivy League, lost to Kansas, Texas and Baylor, tied for first in the Big 12, #1 conference in America, lost to Xavier, 2nd in the Big East, lost to Purdue, #1 in the Big 10.

The BEST record by any of the Top 25 teams that played WVU against other Top 25 teams is 5-3, the worst 3-4 and the rest between those two W-L numbers.

WVU’s Top 25 opponents are:

#3 Purdue, which also has beaten #11 Marquette but lost to #14 Indiana. Only TWO games against Top 25 to 14 or 15 by WVU. Sure helps Purdue’s W-L, huh?
Purdue 1-1 against Top 25.
#5 Kansas, which beat #6 Texas, #12 Kansas State, #14 Indiana, #19 Iowa State, #23 North Carolina State, but lost to #10 Tennessee, #19 Iowa State, #22 TCU. WVU beat Iowa State.
Kansas 5-3 against Top 25.
#6 Texas, which beat #9 Baylor, #13 Gonzaga, #18 Creighton, #22 TCU, but split with #12 Kansas State, lost to #5 Kansas, #10 Tennessee, #19 Iowa State.
Texas 5-4 against Top 25.

#9 Baylor, which beat #5 Kansas, #12 Kansas State, split with #22 TCU, but lost to #6 Texas TWICE, to #19 Iowa State.
Baylor 3-4 against Top 25.
#12 Kansas State, which beat #9 Baylor, split with #5 Kansas, #6 Texas, #22 TCU, but lost to #19 Iowa State.
Kansas State 4-4 against Top 25.
So, if Top 25 teams that played WVU had to struggle to stay above .500 in those games then WHY is everyone so surprised (and, in same cases, enraged) that WVU isn't 10-2 against them?

You seem to be ignoring that I called you out that you didn't go to WVU.
You also never earned six figures in a year.

Should I keep going?

What is it with you and all of these we beat them, they lost there, we are 20--0 against the dregs of bball? The "choir" has read all of your ramblings previously. Enough is enough. And the "committee" is not reading your bs either. 5 more games. So put up or shut up.

RealMeanie keeps shortening his life in an effort to dump his misery on others. Checks my spelling like an English teacher so he can take a shot. But I laugh at him because positive people outlive negative people by 7.5 years. I'm 90. Think RM will hit 97.5 or older? Ha! He responds, I live even longer than him. Self-suicide, sorry to say.

To support my contention even more, look at the teams with tougher schedules and their records.

In updated rankings of the toughest college basketball schedules, West Virginia moved up to #6.

1. Alabama 12-1 SEC 10-3 elsewhere 22-4
2. Kansas 9-4 Big12 12-1 elsewhere 21-5
3. Baylor 9-4 Big 12 11-2 elsewhere 20-6
4. Texas 9-4 Big 12 11-2 elsewhere 20-6
5. Iowa State 8-5 Big 12 9-3 elsewhere 17-8
6. West Virginia 4-9 Big 12 11-2 elsewhere 15-11
7. Michigan State 8-6 Big 10 8-3 elsewhere 16-9
8. Creighton 8-7 Big East 11-0 elsewhere 19-7
9. Connecticut 8-7 Big East 11-0 elsewhere 19-7
10. Indiana 9-6 Big 12 9-2 elsewhere 18-8

Does ANY intelligent fan think Alabama, Michigan State, Creighton and Indiana wouldn't have a worse season record if they were in the Big 12? Get real.

WVU does about as well in non-conference as other teams with 10 toughest schedules. Despite being in the Big 12 which drags down the record of the 2 most recent national champs and the 3 teams tied for first at 9-4 even though they have better season records with only 1 or 2 losses more than Alabama, which has weak sisters to pick on in the SEC like 12-14 LSU, 9-17 South Carolina, 10-16 Ole Miss. NO team in the Big 12 has a losing season record even though 12 games are against Top 25 Big 12 teams! Think Creighton and UConn would be 19-7 if they were in Big 12 conference? Or Indiana would be 18-8 if it were in the Big 12 conference?

WVU wins 30.7% of Big 12 games, 84.6% of non-conference games. With 18 Big 12 games, 12 against Top 25 teams (14 if you add non-conference games), that tells anyone who doesn’t refuse to see the truth that WVU probably would be 60% to 70% in another conference.

You have serious mental deficiencies.

Would Purdue or Alabama or UVA have more losses in they played in the Big 12? Most likely. It's the toughest conference in the country. The difference is would WVU be 19-5 if it were in the Big 10 or SEC or ACC? No.

You sound like a Vandy football fan claiming they'd be 11-2 in they were in any other conference. WVU is in the best basketball conference in America. Unfortunately for WVU, it is to the Big 12 what Vandy is to the SEC.

Looking at the list two things stand out:
WVU has the fewest number of wins and the most number of losses

Read it again. Oklahoma has more losses than WVU. So does Ohio State. So does Florida, 7th in the SEC, and Nebraska, 12th in the Big 10.

SIX of the 8 toughest schedules in America are for Big 12 teams . . . because the Big 12 is far and away the toughest conference in America my measurement after measurement!

Oklahoma at 13-14 has a worse record than WVU at 15-12.

Ohio State, with only the 18th toughest schedule, is 11-15 and 1 of only TWO teams with the 20th toughest schedules to have a losing record!

Big 12 teams are 1, 3, 4 5, 7, 8, 13, 19 in the 20 toughest schedules! That’s 80% of the conference! Even though the Big 12 NET ranking average, is TWICE as good as the 2nd place conference in NET ranking averages.

Maybe you've justified mediocrity in your career and personal life so you support participation results? Compared one loser to another doesn't change that.
