But the Mountaineers are 13-1 against all their other opponents! Who you’re playing makes a huge difference!

For example, WVU beat Pitt, which is in first place in the ACC, beat Penn, 3rd in the Ivy League, lost to Kansas, Texas and Baylor, tied for first in the Big 12, #1 conference in America, lost to Xavier, 2nd in the Big East, lost to Purdue, #1 in the Big 10.

The BEST record by any of the Top 25 teams that played WVU against other Top 25 teams is 5-3, the worst 3-4 and the rest between those two W-L numbers.

Despite being in the Big 12 which drags down the record of the 2 most recent national champs and the 3 teams tied for first at 9-4 even though they have better season records with only 1 or 2 losses more than Alabama, which has weak sisters to pick on in the SEC like 12-14 LSU, 9-17 South Carolina, 10-16 Ole Miss. NO team in the Big 12 has a losing season record even though 12 games are against Top 25 Big 12 teams! Think Creighton and UConn would be 19-7 if they were in Big 12 conference? Or Indiana would be 18-8 if it were in the Big 12 conference?

WVU wins 30.7% of Big 12 games, 84.6% of non-conference games. With 18 Big 12 games, 12 against Top 25 teams (14 if you add non-conference games), that tells anyone who doesn’t refuse to see the truth that WVU probably would be 60% to 70% in another conference.

Would Purdue or Alabama or UVA have more losses in they played in the Big 12? Most likely. It's the toughest conference in the country. The difference is would WVU be 19-5 if it were in the Big 10 or SEC or ACC? No.
