Many centuries ago, a very wise man stated "God, Family, Country" and that philosophical belief has been in the fabric of this country dating back to the Founding Fathers. It is the UNITED States of America and it is the diversity and various belief systems that has created the most powerful country in history. Part of our strength is the ability to civilly disagree and able to compromise for the strongest path forward among the states and citizens. Once in our history, this has been challenged to the extent which did tremendous damage to the country and citizens and thank god we had a President to stand firm and keep the Union together. To suggest state secession now not understanding the history is a slap in the face of every American that has fought and believed in "God, Family, Country" and any act towards actually secession is an act of treason against the country. No elected leader should suggest such an act as it violates their oath of office and they should face consequence of being removed from their office at the minimum.
It is time for adults to repair the damage of all the division that has taken place in the past 20 years or so and Trump has put in turbo drive with his base the past 4 years. If you don't love your country, warts and all, and be willing to fight for a better future, then just leave. We need patriots of the country, not a political party or even worse, a singular person. Stand for the Pledge of Allegiance and understand the words you are actually saying. If you can't live to those ideals, then you need to do a clear self assessment and again, leave the country.
