Out of our entire depth chart, this is the one spot that puzzles me the most.

And, I will freely admit that I have no frame of reference other than my lying eyes. But, with that in mind, I believe that Preston is as good looking a LB prospect that we've had in some time. He's a throwback to the days of Steve Grant, Theron Ellis, Tim Brown, and Grant Wiley. But, again, that's the eye test. Obviously, he needs to prove it on the grid.

I never expected for Preston to be even challenged this year. With our LB corps, I figured Benton & Preston were locked-in, and that David Long would try to make some noise at WILL vs. Walters.

Good from Justin Arndt that he has worked his tail off to be in this position. It's one area that I'll be watching with much interest. Our defense will certainly need all of the help it can get in '16.
