WVU paid Georgia Southern $850,000, West Virginia’s largest-ever payout to an opponent.

Mooodiots, you could've been added to the 2017 schedule AND had a $1M payday...

When Power 5 schools face off, it’s normally on a home-and-home basis, or in neutral-site showdowns staged in venues like the Georgia Dome and Jerry World, which have meant big revenue for both teams. For example, West Virginia and Alabama each were guaranteed $3.2 million last year in Atlanta.

That's over 4 times what Marshall will earn from CUSA for the entire year........maybe they need to start reconsidering the way they do business.

Marshla could make way more $$$ if they just went independant and played 6 games a year on the road against P5 schools. They would likely lose all of these games but at least the pay days would keep them from having to grovel for taxpayer funds. That, and they would be no embarrassment playing, FIU, FIA, MTSU,ODU, etc.....and the humiliation of having Doc vote them in the top 10 to get "other's receiving votes".
