WVU Might have a chance

I think we could lose to (almost) anybody left on our schedule.

I agree.

OU scares me the most. They have the ability to use a power run game. We have had trouble stopping big strong RB's.

True. Or beat everyone left on the schedule. Also true. As long as Gibby is working his Mountain Moonshine Magic with the defense, every team will be "shaking in their boots" before it plays the Mountaineers.

The next game scares me the most, always.
Me, too. Even if it's Kansas or Iowa State. Particularly on the road, where the Big 12 teams thrive beyond their records.

After OU's matchup with Texas Tech. I went to both of their Scout and Rivals boards, they seemed genuinely concerned about how they are going to stop us... much less in how they are concerned with Stoops having his offense attack Gibby's defense. I think after seeing our performances against TT and TCU, their bravado of confidence has waned in counting us as an easy W.

We are going to have to play lights out make it a statement game to the media against OU. I would love to see the 2016 version of the 1988 game we had against Penn State... whether that comes to fruition or not, is another story.

After seeing OU vs Tech being scared of OU has taken a big step back. But they are a power run team which we have yet to stop a big time running team. Baylor does not scare me at all, they never have. WVU is 2-0 vs Baylor at home. Baylor also has yet to play somebody, much less a somebody on the road. Texas is our trap game. They also can run with power.

BYU's RB is #4 in the nation with 942yds rushing and 10 TD's! I think we sold out to stop him and then they hit us through the air as they mounted their comeback in that game.

Oklahoma and Baylor the only two that should beat WVU
Oklahoma "The Best team in the Big 12 tabbed by those so called "anal"ysts (insert sarcasm at any time folks) vs TCU gave up 45 points, vs Texas Tech gave up 59. Wanna have some fun and add both our games with TCU and Texas Tech together and compare numbers? And Baylor has played who? I like our chances.

I'm more concerned about losing AT Texas than I am losing to OU and Baylor in Motown.
I know what you mean. I'll be honest in preseason I had us losing two games: Ok st and Texas. I had a lot of faith in the abilities of this team but unavoidable losses are hard to come by and these 2 teams were the ones I could foresee being on the road that could hurt us being a realist and not a fan. But boy this team has really changed my mind since then.

I'd say the reason OU is scary is because of the run game. The 3-3-5 has been vulnerable to the power run as seen by BYU's Williams against it. Unlike BYU, I think OU has a better passing attack to hit us with while going cover zero. As Texas Tech showed, their defense can be had. Therefore I'd say the team with the fewest mistakes on offense and the most opportunistic Defense/Special teams will win this game. Doubt it will be as high scoring as the TTU/OU game given the Mountaineer propensity to run. But until then, the team has to focus on arguably its toughest test so far ... a true road game against an OSU team that has played to at least the level of KSU or BYU.

Agreed...this weekend will test their resolve again ...on the road...tough but winnable match up.
