FORWARD TOGETHER: UNDERSTANDING HOW MOUNTAINEER ATHLETIC CLUB MEMBERSHIP WORKS

Dear Mountaineer Nation, We are thrilled to have you as a valued member of the WVU Athletics family. As we embrace our theme of "Forward Together," we want to take a moment to provide clarity on how our Mountaineer Athletic Club membership program works and how your support directly impacts our student-athletes and programs.

A New Way Forward Our membership program is designed to bring together passionate supporters like you who share a commitment to the success of WVU Athletics. A new way forward for MAC membership in 2025: SIMPLICITY: All seating contributions and philanthropic giving counting towards Mountaineer Athletic Club membership level within the timeline of July 1-June 30 each year. PHILANTHROPY: The membership model will allow proud Mountaineers across the country to show their support of WVU Athletics and give what they can. Additionally relaunching the leadership giving society, Summit Society, within the Mountaineer Athletic Club to recognize and steward donors making philanthropic gift commitments of $25,000 and above. STEWARDSHIP: Many of the new annual benefits of giving to the Mountaineer Athletic Club will be based on your overall giving within July 1-June 30. This will allow us to properly thank and steward Mountaineer Nation for all their support to WVU Athletics. INCLUSIVENESS: With Mountaineer Athletic Club annual membership starting at $100 the annual giving program provides an opportunity for all fans to support the Mountaineers.

How MAC Membership Works Annual Giving Your membership level is determined by your total annual contributions to WVU Athletics from July1-June 30 each year. Annual benefit opportunities based on level include priority seating, exclusive hospitality and events, and priority points. Our brand new annual giving program has 8 membership levels starting at $100. Summit Society The Summit Society is WVU Athletics’ leadership giving society, recognizing Mountaineer Athletic Club donors making philanthropic gift commitments of $25,000 or more (separate from priority seating contributions; gifted over five years) in support of state-of-the-art facilities, Athletic Director’s Opportunity Fund as well as other philanthropic designations. In recognition of their generous support, members of the Summit Society will gain access to an exclusive stewardship program. Summit Society pledge payments count towards MAC membership level. Country Roads Trust Country Roads Trust (CRT) is the Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) collective of WVU Athletics. The MAC is excited to announce that we will be awarding MAC priority points and membership level credit for CRT members. This will be for CRT contributions from July 1, 2024 to present. NIL support is a top priority for WVU Athletics and to make a contribution to CRT, please visit https://countryroadstrust.com. MAC Membership Year The Mountaineer Athletic Club membership year is July 1-June 30 every year. Priority seating contributions and gifts made within this time period count towards your Mountaineer Athletic Club membership level. Here are 3 examples below of how you MAC membership level is calculated. These examples are assuming all gifts were made within the MAC membership year of July 1 to June 30 - setting your membership level for the upcoming athletic year. Since this is a transition year MAC membership will be from August 1st 2024 to June 30th of 2025.

EXAMPLE 1:

Football Priority Seating Per Seat Contribution - $250 Mountaineer Unrestricted Fund Gift - $250 MAC Membership - $500

EXAMPLE 2:

Football Priority Seating Per Seat Contribution and Parking - $1,500 Men's Basketball Priority Seating and Parking - $2,000 Women's Basketball Priority Seating Per Seat Contribution - $100 MAC Membership - $3,600

EXAMPLE 3:

Football Priority Seating Per Seat Contribution and Parking - $1,700 Men's Basketball Priority Seating and Parking - $1,800 Summit Society Pledge Payment - $5,000* *Summit Society Gift Commitment of $25,000 gifted over 5 years* MAC Membership - $8,500
