MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (August 13, 2024) – WVU Athletics and the Mountaineer Ticket Office have partnered with Paciolan to provide a new platform for WVU football and men’s basketball student ticket distribution.

Paciolan also is WVU Athletics’ primary ticketing partner for all athletics-related events. The transition to Paciolan allows for an enhanced student experience, improved workability and a fully mobile platform that will make attending games at Milan Puskar Stadium and the WVU Coliseum easier than ever before.

Students will be able to log in to the platform HERE or at wvugame.com/students using the single sign-on functionality, which is the same as all access points across the University systems. Once signed in, students will be able to request their student tickets, starting the Friday before the upcoming game week, as they have in prior years. If the overall student ticket request number reaches capacity, the system will trigger the lottery function that will operate the same as year’s past. The football student ticket distribution policy can be found HERE.

Once the request period has ended, students will be notified via email on Tuesday afternoon of game week whether they have been awarded a ticket to the upcoming game or not. Unlike previous seasons, if a student has been awarded a ticket, they no longer need to log in to claim their ticket as it will be automatically placed into their account. Student ticket accounts can be accessed by logging in HERE.

The student will then need to go into their “My Tickets” section of their account and download their ticket to their mobile wallet or download through the ticket delivery email they will receive. Instructions on how to download your ticket to your mobile wallet can be found HERE. All students are reminded to download their ticket to their mobile wallet prior to game day to avoid possible connectivity issues at the stadium. Student tickets will utilize NFC technology and will not have a barcode; therefore screenshots of mobile tickets will not be valid.

If a student is awarded a ticket but can no longer attend the game for any reason, they must return their ticket by logging in to their account to avoid losing loyalty points, which will affect their chances of receiving a ticket via the lottery if a future game reaches the max request limit. Students must return their ticket prior to kickoff on game day to avoid losing loyalty points. A student will lose two (2) loyalty points for not attending the game in which they are awarded a ticket for. For instructions on how to return a student ticket, CLICK HERE.

Students who request but are not awarded a ticket in the event of a lottery selection are encouraged to continue to check back at wvugame.com/students during the on-demand phase, which will begin on Tuesday afternoon of game week for potential availability of returned tickets.

Students who do not request tickets in the initial request phase for a game in which the lottery is not triggered, are encouraged to visit wvugame.com/students throughout the week during the on-demand phase to reserve available tickets while available.

All students who are awarded a student ticket and will be attending a game are required to have a matching valid student ID to the name on their mobile ticket. If a student does not present their valid student ID or the name does not match the mobile ticket, the student will not be admitted to the game.

As a reminder, WVU student tickets cannot be sold or transferred to another students. Students who violate provisions of the student ticket distribution policy will be referred to the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities and when necessary, the West Virginia University Police Department.

All student activities fee-paying students regardless of class ranking are eligible to request tickets to WVU Athletics events.
