MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University football coach Neal Brown has announced that Alonzo Addae, a 5-11, 178-pound, redshirt junior safety from Pickering, Ontario, has enrolled at classes at WVU after transferring from New Hampshire.

Addae will have to sit out this year and will have one year remaining to play his final season.

2018 (r-So.) – New Hampshire
  • Played in all 11 games
  • Recorded 18 solo tackles and 25 total tackles
  • Tallied six pass breakups
  • Recorded season high four solo tackles at Colorado (9/15) and at Villanova (10/27)
2017 (r-Fr.) – New Hampshire
  • Played in 13 of 14 games with four starts, including all three NCAA playoff games
  • Tallied 36 tackles (24-12-36), six pass breakups, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery
  • Recorded season-high seven tackles and forced a fumble in consecutive playoff games: 5-2-7 in the first round vs. Central Connecticut State and 4-3-7 at fourth-ranked Central Arkansas
  • Also had a fumble recovery at Central Arkansas
  • Season-high two pass breakups at Holy Cross
  • Five tackles (3-2-5) and a pass breakup vs. Bryant
  • In his collegiate debut, recorded three tackles (2-1-3) vs. Maine

  • Previously attended St. Mary's Catholic Secondary School (Toronto, Ontario)
  • As a senior at St. Mary's, tallied 10 interceptions and 43 tackles as a defensive back while hauling in 14 touchdowns as a wide receiver
  • In his one year at Peddie School, racked up 12 TDs and snared four interceptions
  • Named to the All-MAPL First Team and NJ.com 2015 All-Prep First Team.
