WVU Baseball.....not looking good for tourney now

No one to blame but ourselves if WVU does not get a tournament bid. We had a shot at plenty of good teams in the Big 12. I'm not sure WVU won any series vs ranked Big 12 teams this year.
Wow. We took the TCU (ranked #10) series on the road. We also beat a very good Central Michigan team twice (Ranked #16). Our RPI was in the 30's just a week ago, and were a lock for the tourney. It slipped to around 50 after the two Big 12 tourney losses. Pretty bad to be a lock to being out of the field after just two games, but the 53 previous games don't matter anymore.

TCU finished 18th. They may have been 10 at the time. Reason why this is relevant is because Central Michigan was ranked 16 at the start of the season. Now they are unranked. Current rankings are far more indicative of how good a team actually was/is.

So WVU won one series against a good team in TCU, but failed to do so against OSU, Oklahoma, and Texas. All I am saying is WVU had our shot at good teams in conference play to cement our resume and failed. Then we got a bad draw in the tournament, again because we failed to capitalize on regular season opportunities, and didn't rise to that occasion. So sure WVU is not a bad team and is not completely undeserving of a tournament spot. However this is not a surging team being held back by early season setbacks or an out of the ordinary rash of injuries. Hence, if WVU does not make the tournament, it is due more so to our lack of performance than it is outside forces like automatic bids for conference tournament winners.

Most wins ever in Big 12 baseball for WVU. Many upsets in other conference tournaments and WVU quick exit from BIG 12 did them in. WVU was not even predicted to have a winning record but thy out did themselves. Lack of pitching and timely hitting was their worse enemy. It does matter when there are many upsets in in other conferences tourney's. All WVU had to do to get in is win one tournament game. The chance for that win was against a poor KSU team they just swept over the weekend.

Oh and TCU won the regular season championsship and OU was the hottest team entering the tournament.

Hmmmmm .... what was wrong with Allen's post? Just facts. Did I miss something?
"All WVU had to do to get in is win one tournament game." This is not a fact; it is an opinion, assumption, and rank speculation. WVU wasn't in the first four out, so there is no way to prove that WVU would've been selected for the NCAA Tournament had it beaten a bad Kansas State team in the Big 12 Tournament.

Why does a self-professed osu fan hang out 24/7 on a WVU board?
