MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (Feb. 25, 2025) – The West Virginia University baseball team is set for its home opener against Ohio, Wednesday afternoon at Kendrick Family Ballpark. First pitch is set for 2 p.m.
Tickets are available at WVUGame.com, by calling 1-800-WVU-GAME or visiting the Mountaineer Ticket Office at Kendrick Family Ballpark. Student tickets are free with a WVU ID. Fans can watch the game on ESPN+ and can follow with live stats at WVUsports.com.
The first 250 fans to the game will receive a 2024 Tucson Regional Champions pennant.
West Virginia is 7-0 on the season after sweeping a four-game series at Lipscomb. Fifteen Mountaineer pitchers saw action against the Bisons and allowed just 10 runs in four games.
Senior Kyle West, redshirt junior Chase Swain, sophomore Michael Perazza, and junior Sam White all hit home runs against Lipscomb with White’s coming in the 10th inning of the series finale to secure the sweep.
Freshman Mac Stiffler will get the ball for the Mountaineers against the Bobcats as he makes his first career start. Ohio has yet to announce a starter.
