Believe it or not, a real WVU fan can be happy with every win, but still see the problems with our program. I love when WVU win and it makes my weekend so much better. But beating a very mediocre Texas Tech team does not really change the facts. We beat teams we should beat, and cant compete with the top of the conference on a regular basis. If that is ok with you, you are extremely happy and satisfied with where we are.

I will not question anyone's fandom because they post an opposing view. I have been attacked in such a manner and I know how wrong that is. If I did, I would have to question some that accept the current state of our program for being the best it can be considering the conference we are in.

WV (the state) can't throw hard earned cash at football and getting wins for adoring fans. There are pressing social and economic problems that need to first be addressed. It ain't about winning out.

He uses terms like "mouth breather" and just sounds like a child in his posts. In my opinion, anyone who sides with him and would condemn another poster without doing the same to him, has no credibility

So those are good reasons to keep our current coach? I'm not sure the answer to your questions, but I do know that the top programs make these decisions and do not keep a coach because they are not sure if it is worth it to get rid of something that is not working out. I think you have to do everything in your power to spend the fan's money in the best way possible. The fans, the boosters, and others are giving their money to see a viable product. If that product has hit its peak at the middle of your conference, and beating Texas Tech is a major event, is that money being spent wisely?

Heck, we ain't one good player from a really good football team right now. WV already is a good football team that has played a very difficult schedule. Take a look at the losses we have taken this year. Top 10 losses! Dadgummit! The next coach won't have any better of a schedule to deal with.
