WVPaper descends into deep depression due to Mountaineer victory.

the "mouth breathers" are not pleased.
we should wait for the end of the season before we start talking shiite..... ;) .....but if you are suggesting any but a very few eer fans want wvu to lose so they can win the argument about holgs' legitimacy to stay on as wvu coach much longer, i say that would be a stretch.....i, for one, would be thrilled to see wvu win out and finish 9-4.....if holgs' does that, he saves his job no doubt and the seat would not be hot for next year either, probably, barring a complete collapse.....that said, i believe i rank among the majority of wvu fans who think we can do a lot better than a sub-.400 win percentage in the big 12.....i think holgs' believes that himself.....do you believe that?.....i am not trying to be snarky, just interested in your thoughts on that.....you seem to be a big protector of holgs' and antagonistic to people who diss on him for his record so far, or even point it out as a factual reality......

yeah evaluations are extremely of a fluid nature nowadays. when Dana loses, he's gone. if he beats the bottom half of the league, he should get a contract extension and anyone who doubts his resume is full of it and not a fan.

I prefer evaluating the body of work because that indicates the most rather than what happened today only. I do applaud, recognize and appreciate the 2 recent wins. They happened because of Wendell Smallwood. Terrific. I'll drink a beer to that, then it's on to Kansas, I-State, K-State and hopefully a bowl opponent with a winning record. We are still looking for quality wins and to improve upon 13-20 against the BXII.

Trolling Don Nehlen, Rich Rodriguez, the Big East and all of our own winning history proves nothing in justifying when the team has struggled in recent years.

I like the fact that this team hasn't quit on him. After losing 4 in a row this team could have laid down and didn't. If they are able to win the final 3 and finish 5-4 in the league I'll take that.

Funny how its hard for some "fans" to figure out that if WVU beats everybody except 4 teams in the Big12 that means WVU is in the top half.

Wait no its not they have a personal vendetta against Holgorsen. If they didn't they would wait till the end of the season to evaluate the job he is doing.

Fire Dana mid season!

He's beating the teams we all think he should beat and a win against Texas is always big. There's no easy win. Holding the team together really counts for something.

I read an interview with Terry Bowden and he talked about building teams. He said first you lose big. Then you lose small. Then win small, and finally win big.

Beating the teams he "should" beat is an important first step.

IMO, If Paperboy was a Baylor fan he'd be wanting to fire Art Briles today.

dana will always be able to win 6 or 7 games in this conference. if that's your bar, you can relax.

we lost to all four at the top in consecutive succession. no, that doesn't put us at the top.

2-4. that's 7th place out of 10.

Win out and 5-4 makes you 5th out of 10. Top half of the conference, but losses to the top four teams.

But is this glass half full or half empty? One more win, a signature win for the season, and it changes the view dramatically. Right now if WVU wins out the signature win might be Texas Tech.
