Worley and Durante out???

Always happens with this program. We seem to always have too many players who should be at Kent State -- you know, Kent read, Kent write. Academics are not the football team's strongpoint.

It sure seems that way sometimes. ...I will give the program credit for holding them accountable....but wow this is a pretty big loss with KJ already out this year...Worley had been playing some very good football imo last 4 games or so....damn.

While Worley is unquestionably the biggest loss on the field for Saturday, his situation is also the least surprising. Kinsey is the one who may have to live with regret for the rest of his life by missing what figured to be his final football game.

Well Hell! There's goes at least 2-3 drops from the WR position then! ;) (I joke, I joke)

Worley is a big loss though.

Worley will be in summer school to make up credits and will return to WV next year to finish out his degree. We can use him.

Should play them anyways. Until NCAA drops their nutsack and punishes UNC, nobody else should be punished. Just my opinion. Just mind boggling how UNC's scandal gets swept under the rug so quickly. Everyone has already forgotten about it. But let's go punish the SMU's of the world!

With that said, there's no excuse for these players to not do better in school with the amount of help and tutoring available to them.

Could really not agree more regarding the lack of punishment for UNC for the MOST outrageous system wide abuses. Couple their arrogance with their actions only makes it more apparent that the NCAA plays favorites and bows to political pressures from those considered 'big time'. Dean's/Roy's boyz are above receiving significant punishment. The football program fired some coaches and retired the AD (with some shake up in the administrative arm) so they are claiming adequate actions taken. B U N K! They really deserve massive punishment. Also---what has happened to Miami?

Absolutely. I'm not defending these guys who failed to qualify because there's no excuse for them to not at least achieve the minimum to pass their courses. But I'm so tired of the "big brand names" always getting free passes while everyone else has to pay the price.

Should have seen this coming from Durante he barely made it in if you remember. But Worley knows what it takes to keep grades up, just plain lazy. All three of them have let there team mates down. Not the fans or coaches but there team mates

OK .... I'm late to this party. But Dana spelled things out very clearly concerning Worley. I just don't understand why almost everyone is unaware of what the head coach said.

Dana said that Worley's grades are actually pretty good. His problem was that he was too late in turning in an assignment(s) for at least one class at the end of the semester. Work turned in past the deadline was not acceptable.

Now .... we can speculate that Worley had his head wrapped up in NFL dreams a bit too much and didn't pay close enough attention to what he had to do to get his work done in a timely manner. Which is what I think happened if you listen closely to Dana's remarks. That, however is still speculation.

Worley, who has been a decent/good student screwed up by not handing in his work on time. That's the story.

Worley better stay in school, he will learn that the hard way if he goes pro. There is a unbelievable jump in talent and he had a stretch mid season where he couldn't cover a sleeping baby. He will get exposed very fast. But then there is the injury ? Look at Karl he will be ok but what if it had been worse. Easy choice for me sitting at home in recliner lol

we need a new academic advisor..Oklahoma St kept Dexter Manley eligible for four years and he couldn't read or write..

I know I bash WVU a lot but there is no excuse for the Academic Advisor to not be on top of this for Worley. That is their job to make sure assignments are in and on time

There is only on person to blame for Worley's lack of academic success and that's Worley.
