I think Trick wanted to get out there and compete...took a number of hits, and dust himself off, until it was one hit too many...but yes...Howard sure looks like a gamer to me. Hopefully he stays healthy for the duration of the season....

Dana's QB's always look the first half of the season. Then for whatever reason we can't move the ball.

I can only assume that's code from 3:16 to indicate Howard is a Trump supporter, while the rest of the Mountaineer QB's he's watched in the past were all bleeding heart liberals.

Does that "edge" you speak of meaning that he makes 5-6 bad QB reads on the option and keeps the ball only to get 1 yard and a hard hit????? Personally, I think he has been mediocre thus far when you compare the opponents he's faced. Even Dana thinks so. I would grade him at a C or C-. But, who am I? Just my opinion. I am worried that he will struggle against faster teams, and teams that aren't in the Sun Belt or FCS. Just saying.
We'll see we've only seen two games. He just seems tough and I like his attitude. That's my opinion. Maryland will tell us a lot more.
It should...he'll need to show some elusiveness, and create something out of nothing quite a bit more in 2 weeks...make the correct decision when the heat is on...

Tyler is doing better than I thought he would, and manages the game and the possession well. Major improvements over 2014.
Is there room for improvement? Hell, yes, even Pope Francis could do better.
But against lower-level competition, Skyler has done the job. The defense is awesome.
Maryland looks weak, Oklahoma doesn't look as formidable. Oklahoma State, TCU and Baylor aren't as scary as they were to me before the season began.
The October quartet might be a WVU onslaught.
How the hell can anyone whine about WVU in 2015 after the team gave up 17 points, one TD against the second team defense, in 2 games. Completed 21 of 26 passes against Liberty. Has a QB who is No. 3 nationally in QB efficiency?

Hail..................every one of the WV players................yesterday and today WANT to be on the field. Anyone who thinks different needs to get a life. I played many a game on the college and pro level and never felt like I was on the field with a single person who didn't want to be there.

I agree with you about SH. I like what I see so far, but I think we really need to see him against better teams to get a better look at him. Is anyone concerned with our running game? It seems like we either don't have a break away threat or the Offensive Line isn't doing a good job of run blocking....Time and the conference schedule will show more I guess. Can't argue with 2-0.

And what's wrong with having players out there who want to win every play instead of those that just want to pad stats or are simply just happy to be on the field? What's wrong with wanting the guy who leaves it all out on the field...game after game after game..instead of holding something back? What's wrong with cheering for the guy who pushes his teammates to give their all on each and every play instead of one that's aloof? I like a little fire in my players....you can go hang out with the wet blankets.

Now it very well may be that Howard better understands how to approach the game and that may make him more consistent. But that in no way shape or form does that mean that Geno does not/did not want to compete.

Rumor has it that Chugs, Crest and Sills all want to get out there and compete. If any of them ever take away the starting job, I'll be behind them too. For now, Skylar is the man and he has a lot of moxie, which is a great word from the past and fits him like a glove.
