Sigh.

The Senate GOP campaign arm, which heard out the appeals, recently commissioned a survey to gauge the coal king’s electoral strength and determine his staying power in the race.

Those familiar with the party’s deliberations say the results are clear: With a little more than a month until the May 8 primary, Blankenship, a towering figure in West Virginia politics long before this campaign and an avid opponent of unions, has vaulted into essentially a three-way tie with his rivals and is positioned to move ahead.

Disaster? From what I've read the guy is marketing himself as a Trump clone, and the voters of West Virginia have lost their collective f***ing minds when it comes to voting against their own interests, so the only disaster will be the continued downward spiral of the state -- I expect him to win by double digits.
Calm down...the guy would never win......Joe will win again.

After Trump's win it's clear that any living human can win political office but it would be a sad day if he ever represented WV in D.C.

I love WV, but its inhabitants are really, really dumb.

They were for about 80 years.....how did
that work out for low IQ fools like you. They/you loved your ol boy Bobby Byrd. But don't worry....Blankenship will never get elected.

When I graduated from WVU, I went Auburn for grad school and I used to complain to one of our department staff about how slow things move down there. She would say "you don't like Alabama?" and I'd respond with "I love Alabama. The problem is it's full of Alabamians".

LMAO!

Did Hillary mock a disabled reporter?
Did Hillary denigrate a POW?
Did Hillary attack a Gold Star family?
Did Hillary brag about grabbing women by the pussy?
Did Hillary pay off a porn star to keep the adulterous affair quiet?

Most ironic post ever!

Congratulations!

There is still a lot of union support in WV, and that seems to have strengthened recently. Blankenship rampant anti-unionism would be a serious flaw in the general.

2018 is going to be a bad year for republicans nationally, and getting bad candidates can make it a lot worse.

Also wouldn't shock me to see the 3rd go back to blue with Ojeda.

Just goes to show how poor the public education system is in the state.

Blankenship intentionally cut safety corners and it resulted in lost lives. He represents everything that is wrong in our society. EPA exists because of people like him.
Yes he is a real slime ball......what's even worse are the Democrat West Virginia government officials that allowed him to operate, they should all be in jail. But...that's no surprise to me since I've not been blind as to what was going on in our state for years and years.

I don't think they (the Democrats) are worse than Blankenship.

Surprise,surprise......I didn't think you would. They were the ones that were getting their pockets stuffed while they were also charged with enforcing mining regulations. With people like you that put party before right and wrong....it's no wonder our state is in the shape it's in.

I'm not prepared to argue his culpability or irresponsibility regarding the accident and death of those miners but that is a different argument from the general discussion of capitalism and its overall benefit as an economic system compared to others that are available.

I specifically asked you what works better and where what is your answer?
