Take a deep breath at look at the big picture. WVU is not improving in recruiting, game management, discipline, or results. Fact is, WVU has established itself as a middle of the pack program. If that makes a fan happy...then great. If that makes a fan frustrated and looking for a better set of results...then great.

It is not about DH or SH...it is about building a program...something that has yet to happen under the current HC.

Whether the DH huggers want to admit it or not, there are a lot of Mountaineer fans happy any time WVU wins, but unhappy with the so-so state of the football program at the same time.

It is like in work. You can either wait for a raise and be happy with what you get, or earn the raise you want.

I, personally, don't care who the HC is as long as he gets results...something that seems to elude some folks.

I totally agree with everything you just said. I'm glad any time WVU gets a win. I also see that we have pretty much flatlined as a program under DH. Unfortunately you aren't allowed to be able to cheer for the Mountaineers and say anything other than Dana has the best smelling rectum in the business on this board. That's why I rarely post on here anymore. You can't have any differing opinion than the "fire Dana" or "Dana is awesome" crowd. If you happen to be happy when we win but also realize Dana and the team are mediocre you get slammed by both sides.
Lets recap the season. We beat not a single P5 school with a winning record. We got destroyed against every ranked team we played, Kansas Sate (who got beat in their bowl for a losing record). Our best victory was toss up between a one point win (over a team with a losing record)in the bowl or the victory over Georgia Southern (who was the only team we beat that finished above .500)! And this was an "UP" year. Looks like all of the star power on the back end of this defense is already gone or in the process of leaving. So we will have to outscore people next year. And I just flat out think we cant do that on a regular basis.

Almost every team qualifies for a bowl nowadays. That's what makes bowl games so terrible.

If Dana quit today, who would you get as a coach? (No Chip Kelly is not coming to Morgantown) KSU will likely be in that situation in a year or two. Right now there are not a lot of names that are realistic possibilities. I do not think any of our assistants would be a good head coach. Dana Dimel did not do well at Houston and I would not see him doing better at KSU. Jim Levitt or Brett Venables are possibilities. But who could WV get as a head coach?

Anyone who isn't happy WVU won and finished with an improved and very good record of 8-4 with a bowl win after an extremely difficult October stretch, these people really aren't Mountaineer fans- let's be honest.

They are trolling the board, period. They don't want WVu to be successful, they just want to tear down the program in any and every way. West Virginia University boards are the only schools boards where people are allowed to monopolize or in many cases even post threads like these. many actual fans don't even come here anymore for just that reason and it's a shame. We beat one power 5 team Texas Tech but they finished 7-6 so that doesn't really qualify as great

Hopefully someone that knows Florida and can get a decent haul out of there consistently. We currently have only 1 commit from down there usually we do much better than this but its disturbing to only see just 1. Florida has the best high school players in the country and we have done much better in the past then where doing this year
