KU is significantly improved over the last 12 games or so. Emergence of Graham and Bragg have balanced their attack. Their D has gotten strong. They are playing with a tremendous amount of confidence. They are really, really good with high level talent. However, Huggs statement, "Your first 5 may be better than our first 5, but our first 11 are better than yours" applies to a KU match up for sure.
That said, if WV plays D with last nights level of intensity and intelligence (Fewer stupid fouls), has a player or 2 hot from 3 pt range, and pounds the boards they can play with ANY TEAM in CBB.
I do think fatigue is something to watch this evening. If fatigue does start to creep in, a few big plays will be in order to rev up the energy. After the Big 12 tourney, I am not concerned about fatigue in the NCAA. A one day break between games played on the weekend and at least a 4 day break from weekend to weekend (Assuming they progress) is very doable for 18 to 23 year olds.
Anyone else notice how Bill Self had his starting 5 out of the game much more than usual against Baylor? This took place in both halves of the game. KU's starting 5 did not play much more than WV's starters.
