Who is out there coaching wise?

Auburn hired Hugh Freeze. He is a good coach and should have them competing at a high level fast.

He gets caught cheating again or hitting on prostitutes SEC will burn him and Auburn to the ground.
With everything going on with NIL, what is considered cheating? Not being smart, seriously asking. The NCAA is a joke at this point. The Supreme Court removed essentially all their power as a governing body.

The list of potential coaches goes up significantly as the willingness to pay them real P5 money goes up. If we want another 3 mil per year coach, then that is what we will get. Another Neal, or a guy who actually succeeds but ends up taking a higher paying job somewhere else after success here. If we pony up and pay someone, not only will we be able to land a good coach, but our chances of keeping him goes up big time as well. We pay Neal 3 mil or so. Liberty, a small school, pays Hugh Freeze 5 mil. If we cant match a small school like Liberty than we dont belong in a P5 conference. WVU needs big change. I'm tired of seeing fans sell themselves, the school and the state short because WVU wont pony up. The truth is, WVU is very appealing even to coaches who dont "have ties" to WV. Excellent facilities, great people in the state of WV, a solid economy in Morgantown, and a beautiful area in northern WV full of great scenery and good living. Very nice college town. The only thing we lack is the willingness to pay the going rate for a really good coach and keep him. WVU is appealing, fur sure.

You haven't paid much attention to WVU sports history. EVERY coach either loses and is canned, as Neal Brown will be, or wins big goes elsewhere. Don't mention Nehlen because he was ready to go to Ohio State till then went elsewhere so Don stayed at WVU. So we just enjoy their success till they leave and hope for another miracle coach.

South Carolina wanted Nehlen. I believe he turned them down.

The NCAA placed LSU's football program on one year of probation and issued a three-year show cause against a former assistant coach, who it says admitted to meeting with a prospect and giving him team gear during a COVID-19 recruiting dead period.

There is still rules. Just not for NIL.
