On a full blown preview yet due to the coaches on the road and any possible late additions. Here are the prospects I expect to be on campus as of right now this weekend for official visits.
Uncommitted:
Bergenfield (N.J.) tight end Jovani Haskins
Committed to West Virginia:
Panama City Beach (Fla.) Arnold quarterback Cody Saunders
Sandy Spring (Md.) Sherwood wide receiver Marcus Simms
Ona (W.Va.) Cabell Midland defensive end Reese Donahue
Freeport (Pa.) Freeport Area Senior linebacker Logan Thimons
Lexington (N.C.) North Davison runningback Kennedy McKoy
Toledo (Oh.) Central Catholic linebacker Zach Sandwisch
Pittsburgh (Pa.) North Hills offensive lineman Jacob Buccigrossi
Dayton (Oh.) Dunbar defensive lineman Jeffery Pooler
Bridgeport (W.Va.) linebacker Dylan Tonkery
Overview:
Obviously with the bulk of the prospects on campus already committed to West Virginia this weekend will be more about the early enrollees taking their last recruiting visit until they arrive at West Virginia in January. All of the prospects listed plan to enroll early at West Virginia with the exception of Sandwisch who is still in the process of deciding if he will be on campus.
As for the uncommitted prospect, Haskins will be making his second official visit of the process after making a stop to check out Virginia Tech in early September for the game against Ohio State. Haskins has a top four of West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh and North Carolina, in no order and he's told me that he plans to visit all of those schools before he makes a decision on where he will play in college. Other schools that have been involved include Miami and Virginia Tech. Haskins has been recruited by West Virginia since the early stages of the process and told me that he really likes the idea of being utilized in the Mountaineers air raid offense as a flex tight end. He's maintained that he wants to make all of his visits before he decides but one to watch.
