Painting the scene for a historic day.NCAA & power conferences will file later today the long form agreement in their settlement. The 10-year deal ushers in athlete rev-share, abolishes scholarship limits & creates arbitration for enforcement disputes. Implementation 2025-26.

Schools will be permitted - not required - to offer scholarships up to new roster limits. All sports will see an increase in scholarship slots, ie football's 105 roster. That’s 20 more scholarships than currently allowed (85).

Separately, plaintiff attorneys will file a document outlining their distribution method for the $2.8 billion in back-damages to ex-athletes over a 10-year period.Their formula - possibly 75% to football players - may serve as a guide for schools on rev-share distribution.

The long form filing is expected to be more than 100 pages long and, while including a ton of legal jargon on the agreements, will feature the all-important Injunctive Relief from the Court detailing the new rev-sharing model & enforcement mechanism.

What not to expect in the long form:- Guidance on how Title IX applies to the method in which schools choose to distribute revenue to athletes.- Anything truly ground-breaking and new (the long form is only expected to provide specifics around previously reported concepts).
