Could this be 2007 all over again?
#3 Utah loses.
#9 Florida State loses.
#1 Ohio State struggles except when it’s playing Rutgers, WVU’s favorite patsy.
Indiana gave #7 Michigan State all it could handle for 3 quarters.
#8 Alabama beats 3-4 Tennessee by 5 points.
UCLA whipped #20 California.
There are NO unbeaten teams in the Pac-12.
The only unbeaten SEC team is LSU, which has Alabama and maybe Florida as obstacles.
The only unbeaten ACC team is Clemson.
The Big 12 still has 3 unbeaten teams in Baylor, TCU and Oklahoma State, although the Bears’ QB might be a damaging blow to their chances to stay unbeaten.
The Big 10 still has 3 unbeaten teams, too, in Ohio State, Michigan State and Iowa, but it’s taking miracle comebacks and finishes for two of them to not lose and the other is only Iowa.
If teams keep dropping the way they did in 2007, then the Big 12 might make the national playoffs with its unbeaten champion easily.
Things are so screwed up that Pitt might have its best season in years.
