--West Virginia practiced inside Milan Puskar Stadium today and it was much warmer than it had been the past few days. There were a number of scouts in attendance from the Los Angeles Chargers, Indianapolis Colts, New Orleans Saints, Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons.

--At the start of practice there were a number of players taking turns snapping the quarterback who would then in turn fire the football to a wide receiver in the same drill that opened Thursday's viewing session. The players snapping were Zach Frazier, Brandon Yates, Laden Livingston and Doug Nester.

--On the injury side of things Cortez Braham was back out there at full speed. Several players continued to don green jerseys and were held out of some drills like Sean Martin but participated in other things. At this stage of camp that's just normal.

--Players returning kicks were Ja'Shaun Poke, Beanie Bishop, Andrew Wilson-Lamp, Jaheim White and Andrew Wilson-Lamp. Speaking of White, he isn't the biggest guy but he really stands out with his burst and quickness as well as how he can catch the football. I've seen him several times before in camp settings, but he's got a chance moving forward.

--The competition today was big men field punts with Wyatt Milum, Doug Nester and Zach Frazier squaring off against Fatorma Mulbah, Hammond Russell and Mike Lockhart. The offensive linemen won 2-1, but two of those missed attempts by the defense bounced right off their chest. Perhaps that's why they're not back there?

--A lot of various special teams work and one drill that caught my attention was focused on downing a punt inside the five yard-line. Two players were lined up and had to get through a bag to pin the ball down there.

--The offensive line groupings in various drills were:
Doug Nester, Ja'Quay Hubbard, Zach Frazier, Tomas Rimac and Wyatt Milum
Charlie Katarncic, Sullivan Weidman, Brandon Yates, Bryce Biggs and Nick Malone
Nick Krahe, Cooper Young, Landen Livingston, Maurice Hamilton and Johnny Williams

--Kole Taylor had a really impressive catch in the back of the end zone.

--The two-minute drill was about the most action that we saw today as it was set up at the end of the half with 1:14 on the clock and one timeout. Again, this is not a depth chart just how the players worked in this situation and they rotated on defense and the skill spots as well.

The first group was quarterbacked by Nicco Marchiol with the skill set positions Devin Carter, Kole Taylor, Preston Fox and CJ Donaldson with the first group on the offensive line.

On defense, it was DaeDae Hawkins, Eddie Vesterinen, Mike Lockhart up front, Lee Kpogba, Tirek Austin-Cave and Jared Bartlett at LB. Then Keyshawn Cobb, Marcis Floyd and Aubrey Burks at safety. Finally, Andrew Wilson-Lamp and Beanie Bishop were the corners.

--The drive started off well with a first down, but Marchiol misfired on some throws coupled with a false start and the defense won that set.

--On the second attempt, Garrett Greene was the quarterback with Ja'Shaun Poke, Jarel Williams, Treylan Davis and Jaheim White at RB. The offensive line was Charlie Katarncic, Sullivan Weidman, Brandon Yates, Bryce Biggs and Nick Malone. On the defensive line, Jalen Thornton, Hammond Russell, Taurus Simmons although a second wave of Zeiqui Lawton, Fatorma Mulbah and Tomiwa Durojaiye had a run as well. At linebacker, Jairo Faverus, Ben Cutter and James Heard were there and safety consisted of Hershey McLaurin, Anthony Wilson and Keyshawn Cobb. The cornerbacks were a mix between Jacolby Spells, Montre Miller and Malachi Ruffin.

--On that second attempt, Green and the RBs were able to get some yardage and were able to effectively drive the ball to the 31-yard line and the field goal was good.

--There was a lot of rotating all around but it was fun to see some football with some referees to a degree.

--Josiah Trotter isn't practicing right now, but he is massive as a linebacker. Really excited to see him when he gets back on the field.
